Born in Johannesburg South Africa starting a career in Equestrian Sports since childhood with much success - BP National Challenge - South Africa’s version of The Maclay’s runner up at age 15, Hickstead International Schools South Africa’s Captain at age 16, production of pre Grand Prix Equine sale prospects – training with top names in SA Showjumping ... Philip Smith, Peter Gotz, Anneli Wucherpfennig and Ed Simpson. Roger became a sponsored rider at age 25 riding for Computer Form with “Executive Blue” and the Quirk family with “Listor”.
He attended Witswatersrand Technical Campus to study a three year Marketing Program and finished up his 4th year at Cornell University in Speciality Marketing.
During his three years he worked for the BBC Production Team during the "Mandella" era filming and photographing historical political time pieces of South Africas apartheid history, as well modeling for Elite Models doing print, radio and video and film.
Early employment was with Partnership Ad Agency for Castle Lager and Ballantine’s where his educational skills were utilized in advertising, marketing, production and product launch’s for high profile consumer beer and whiskey brands. Immigrating to the USA in 1996, residing in Pasadena, CA for four years working in the entertainment industry dealing with local and international artists including for the likes of Stevie Wonder, Eddie Murphy, Electric Light Orchestra, Shrek SKG Productions still training and teaching and doing jumper sales on a low key basis with Poland’s George Tsjacheck.
Roger moved to Nashville in 2002, culminating in an ongoing successful career as a trainer in Equestrian Sports on a national level. He has actively show jumped in USA, UK and SA. Member of FEI Campus, USEF, USHJA and American Holistic Vet Foundation.
He now produces videos ranging from Equestrian, Music, Corporate and Political campaigns for various clients in the US.
